The live auction featured items such as multiple vacation packages to Italy, a VIP Detroit Tigers experience, billboard advertising, a Detroit Lions season ticket package and much more.
Guests enjoyed a meal prepared by MotorCity Casino Hotel’s Executive Chef Scott Stromer. Vice President of GM Fleet & Commercial, Ed J. with speeches from the honorary co-chairs, Detroit Tigers Executive Vice President of Business Operations, Duane McLean and U.S. The 11th annual event kicked off at 6 p.m. Guests enjoyed the sounds of the band Fifty Amp Fuse and attendees helped themselves to a candy bar sponsored by Mars Chocolate. This year’s Kidney Ball featured a live and silent auction, as well as a children’s toy room where guests generously bid on items.
This amount surpassed the 2014 Kidney Ball donations by more than $100,000, a 24 percentincrease. Overall, this year’s Kidney Ball raised more than $640,000 for the NKFM’s many programs and services that help the more than 900,000 Michigan residents living with chronic kidney disease, and the many more at risk. 5 at MotorCity Casino Hotel in Detroit to show their support for those who raise funds to support the programs and services of the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan.
